- Le Porteur de Depeches, 1870, by Juan Carlos Ávila: I had the chance to see this one live in Euromilitaire 2012. Do Not Miss this absolutely mind blowing piece, probably one of the bests of the year. The result of a relentless work of 5 years, full scratch built and painted by Juan Carlos Ávila.
- Aragorn, Knightmodels, by Alfonso Gozalo:
The original sculpture of Aragorn for Knightmodels, in 75mm, by Alfonso Gozalo. He is without a doubt one of the best sculptors in the market right now.
- Battle Sister conversion by Graphigaut:
This is a stunning conversion piece by Graphigaut. Amazing work, I want to see it painted soon!
- Battle Sister conversion painted by Graphigaut:
And then Golden Demon France came, and we saw it painted!
- Vlad Dracul by Ernesto Reyes: I love Er's last miniature, it's impressive. Pictorical luxury from South America!
- Heroes and Villains Miniatures: A new company of miniatures has seen the light. This one has the honour of having some works by Raúl Latorre in their catalogue. High quality busts!
- La Cocina by Juan José Barrena: This is an amazing and crazy creation by JJ (in Rafa Coll's Blog) which I had the pleasure of seeing in this year's Euromilitaire.
- Crowdfunding for Roman Lappat and Raffaele Picca's artbook: Fantastic initiative by the Massive Voodoo crew which I'm sure we will see repeated in the future.

Memories from Golden Demon Italy 2012
And because not everything is about the contest of miniatures in a Golden Demon, here's some more pics from this weekend in Italy!
Massive ham and salame feast!
Simon Modrow's Space Marine absolutely scratch built.
Another view on the Space Marine.
Simon Modrow and Massimiliano a.k.a. amon chakai a.k.a. "Follatore".
Rapaz performing the classic "painting at the entrance" making use of the last few minutes before registration closes.
Simon looks at my Scrap Demon creation with envy. It could be my next Golden Demon! haha
Traditions are important in Italy. This is the classic Golden Demon Italy Salame sharing. I want a tradition like this in Spain.
Sneaky shot of some of the best painters of Italy. Caught in the same frame, Francesco Farabi, Fabrizio Russo, Luciano Rossetti and Matteo Murelli. And more great painters stored in the back of the van! :D
And thus ends the 2012 Golden Demon season for me. We still need to see what GD France has to offer, but I won't be fighting that battle this time. Time to relax, time to think and time to prepare for the next battles ahead.

Golden Demon Italy 2012
Ciao ragazze e ragazzi! Volomir reporting from Italy!
What a wonderful weekend in Milan and Modena! I have to thank all of my Italian friends for the wonderful hospitality, I love Italy and the italian Golden Demon and I hope to repeat very soon in the future! Or Monte San Savino next year maybe? I don't know, but I hope it doesn't pass too much time without seeing them again. Bravissimo!
The Golden Demon was great with a very high level from all of the participants. Medium level in this country has demonstrated to be the highest in the Golden Demon circuit nowadays (waiting to see what GD France has to offer) and really great considering they are maintaining the level from last year. It was an insane day where I did many things, from participating in Scrap Demon to giving a painting demonstration which was really interesting, and I had time to make my usual photo report for you guys. Of course, I did my best, but there are many entries I couldn't photograph because at the moment I took them they were being judged. The cabinets were swarming with people all day so it was hard work. Please forgive me anyway!
Slayersword went to Luciano Rossetto for an absolutely astonishing conversion of an Ork Warboss, beautiful model with a very different way of painting to what I'm used to, and very careful about the details. Check out all the photos I have taken for you guys to see. Enjoy!
Oh, and surprisingly I won silver in Open with my Imperial Fist Space Marine! Why in Open you will be asking? Because the miniature is modelled by Master of the Forge and the new rules of Golden Demon do not allow teamwork unless in Open category. So that's where I entere, and luckily I got the little Silver Open Plaque! Nice! Photos from the Imperial Fist coming soon!
Arrivederci amici!
