This month was filled with Monte San Savino goodness. But that wasn't the only thing happening all around. Check out the Do Not Miss November 2014:
Miniatures
- Facebook minis of the month of October: Summary of the best miniatures seen during the month of October by the Eureka minis team.
- Templar knight in Jerusalem: Nice bust by Javier González (Arsies). His interesting style applied to busts is something quite different from what we see normally.
- Dung Beetle Knight by Sascha Buczek: Long time since the last time I saw a painting by Sascha, this one is really interesting. I love the texture work.
- Jumping like Frogs by Jorge Jaldón in Rafa Coll's Blog: Especially interesting is the introduction of the post, how Jorge breaks four "unwritten" rules of classic modelling. In Spanish.
- "The Death" Frederick the Great`s 5th Hussars by Kirill Kanaev: The painting ability of Kirill is not from this world. Look at another of his crazy busts.
- Boudicca by Pedro Fernández in Rafa Coll's Blog: Amazing bust modelled by master Pedro.
- Papa Shango by Rosman: One of the best versions of Banshee's anonymous bust.
Articles and tutorials
- Painting fire using water effects by James Wappel: Interesting and very instructive take on fire modelling. A couple more posts explain more details about fire on bases, here and here.
- Eshin Gutter Runners tutorial by Max Faleij: Max guides us through the creation of his little diorama that was a big success in GD UK 2014.
- Hazmat step by step by Angel Giraldez: I really liked this tutorial on painting another wonderful Infinity miniature, of course by Angel Giraldez.
- How to paint wood by Arbal: Tutorial that shows us how to paint wood when the wood texture is heavily sculpted on the surface to paint.
- Dark Eldar Tattoo Pattern tutorial: This article is wonderful to achieve complicated pattern freehands in a very easy way.
- Handling tools for miniature painting: An article showing different solutions for miniature holding, unfortunately only in Spanish.
- Metallic vs Non Metallic by Meg Maples: I find this article very interesting especially because I agree with everything Meg Maples has to say on the subject.
- The Aquila Step by Step by Roman Lappat: This bust is an awesome piece from Nuts Planet and Roman did a wonderful job.
- Virago, Ilyad Barbarian Beauty Step by Step by Roman Lappat: I am specially happy about this one since I had something to do with Roman getting this little beauty.
